2020-2021 Board of Directors

Now accepting nominations for the year of July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021.

The New River Abortion Access Fund relies on a board of dedicated volunteers. We are seeking resourceful, connected, self-motivated individuals who are interested in an opportunity for personal and professional growth. If you are passionate about reproductive justice, serving on the board of directors is a great way to get involved and gain leadership experience. We ask for a commitment of at least two years.

Our board is a working board, and you should expect to spend a couple of hours each week on various projects. You don’t have to live in Blacksburg to be a member. Virtual methods of communication are permitted during board meetings.

We are committed to diversity and we encourage people of color, LGBTQ+ folks, young people, and low-income people to apply.

If you meet the criteria listed below, or know someone who does, we encourage you to apply or to nominate other qualified individuals. Please be thorough and provide as much information as possible about the candidate. Don’t worry if you don’t meet every qualification. Candidates will be evaluated on a case by case basis. We want to ensure that everyone can access leadership positions in this organization, so all levels of experience are welcome.
